Founded in 1934, Dragão Abrasivos was the pioneer in Portugal as bonded abrasives producer. Starting to produce vitrified bonded abrasives, its range of products grew with the market needs. Special attention is called to the construction of a new department dedicated only to diamond tools in 1967, and in 1999 the acknowledgement of its quality system according to ISO 9002, upgraded in 2002 to the ISO 9001:2000.

Taking always into account the market evolution, it has a research sector that, besides developing new products, is a warranty of quality for all its wide range of products. Its sales cover almost all the market segments, specially the metal work, stone and construction, foundry, sharpening, moulds, glass and polishing industry.
